The staff of Brady & Levesque Funeral Home is made up of caring and professional members of our family and community. Funeral service started in our family with our grandfather, Anthony Terrien, when he began the A. L. Terrien & Sons Funeral Home, in 1918. Anthony's son Fredrick Terrien continued his legacy until retiring in the 1970's. Raymond J. Levesque, grandson of Anthony Terrien, and his partner, G. Thomas Brady, started our funeral home in its current location in 1984 and through their hard work and dedication to our families, have made us what we are today.
Our full time funeral directors and embalmers are Jeffrey S. Levesque, son of Raymond Levesque and Allen H. Choiniere former proprietor of A.W. Rich Funeral Home. Jeffrey and Allen, bring more than 75 years of combined professionalism to our staff. Christine Levesque is Jeffrey's wife, and is an important part of our funeral home. She assists in many aspects of the funeral home, such as secretarial, transportation, and always participates in whatever way she can to care for our families. In the spring of 2016, Pamela Easterday, daughter of Allen Choiniere, joined our staff as a funeral assistant. Lauren Levesque, daughter of Jeffrey Levesque, is our Funeral Home Operations Assistant and our youngest staff member.
Our part time funeral assistants are , Gerald Morong, David "Mike" Supernault, Donald Dukette, and many other generous people of our community. They are the gentlemen that you will see working with us on calls to bring a loved one into our care, Remembrance Gatherings (Funerals), and Times of Reflection (Visitations). We are very grateful to have them as part of our staff.
We would like to remember the deceased members of the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home Staff that provided us with many years of dedicated service. They are Barbara Brady, mother of Tom Brady, Gordon and Marguerite Luman, parents of Joyce Levesque and grandparents of Jeffrey Levesque, Paul Fredette, uncle of Joyce Levesque and great-uncle of Jeffrey Levesque, Carlton Frazier, Edmund and Barbara Cross, Carmen and Rudolph Firkey, P. Eli Shapiro, George Leahy, James Steen, Gerald Leduc, Jerome Duffy, Richard Lawton, and A. Keith Palmer. We will be always grateful for their part in our success.
Jeffrey is the son of Raymond Levesque, great-nephew of Fredrick Terrien, and great-grandson of Anthony Terrien. Jeff graduated from The New England Institute of Mortuary Science at Mount Ida in 1993. He is the fourth generation of funeral directors in our family to graduate from the same funeral service school. Upon returning, Jeff began working full time at our funeral home. He is a former member of the St. Albans City Fire Department, where he served as a pump operator and firefighter for over 23 years.
In 2018, Jeff received his training and licensure and became Franklin County's only Cremationist. With our partnership with Mountain View Crematory, Jeff now performs all cremations for the families that we serve at our funeral home. It is will great pride, we can guarantee that your loved one stays in our care at all times.
In 2019, Jeff became the first person of our funeral home to be licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in another state. He passed the examinaton and was granted a license in the State of New York.
In January of 2022, Jeff reached another milestone. He was elected as the Secretary of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association. He is the first in his family and our funeral home to serve on the VFDA Board.
Jeff is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Vermont Funeral Directors Association, The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association, The Pet Loss Professionals Alliance, The Funeral Service Professional Association, the St. Albans City Firefighters Association, the Franklin County International Firefighters Association, and The Vermont State Firefighters Association. He is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elk, Lodge, 1166 , a 4th degree Knight of Columbus Council 297, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron #1, an Associate Member of the Vietnam Veterans Of America, licensed Amateur Radio Technician - W1KGB and a founding member of the St. Albans Amateur Radio Club.
Jeff has a daughter, Lauren who is 15 and a step-son Nicholas Garvey and a grandson Cyrus. His wife Christine Levesque also helps behind the scenes at the funeral home. Jeff enjoys talking on the ham radio, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
Allen began working at our funeral home in the early 1990's. He is a graduate of the McAlister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. While in New York, Allen worked for the Hirsch & Sons Funeral Home. Allen then moved back to Vermont and purchased the A.W. Rich Funeral Home in Fairfax. In the 1980's Allen sold the funeral home and moved to Pennsylvania where he worked for numerous funeral homes providing pre-need counseling to families. Allen returned to Vermont and began working with us. He is a valuable part of our staff and we sincerely appreciate all he does to serve the families that call on us.
Joyce is the wife of Raymond Levesque, and mother of Jeff Levesque. Joyce is the lady who answered the phone while we were out of the funeral home. Joyce enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, and collecting anything with a strawberry on it. She loved to spend time with her three granddaughters. Joyce is the deeply loved matriarch of our family, and was the caring and compassionate person that may have answered your call when calling our funeral home.
Sadly, Joyce passed on February 7, 2022. She is grately missed!
Christine is the wife of Jeff Levesque. She is employed full time by Mylan Technologies, but is a valuable assistant at the funeral home. She assists in keeping records, producing prayer cards, and procuring documents for us. She also accompanies Jeff when called to make a long distance trip. Christine enjoys cooking, interior decorating, vacations, and going on cruises. Christine and Jeff both enjoy spending time with their children, Nick and Lauren, and their grandson Cyrus.
Gerald "Jerry" Morong has been with us for many years. He is married to his wife Frances Morong. He is retired, but remains very active with the Free and Accepted Masons and the Shriners. Jerry enjoys woodworking in his spare time and traveling with his family.
Jerry assists us on funerals and is a valuable member of our staff.
Michael Supernault joined our staff in the summer of 2017. Mike is retired, and came to us to offer his assistance in the operations of our funeral home. Mike and his wife Martha, have served the community of Sheldon on the Fire and Rescue services for many years. He has many enjoyments, but mostly spending time on his motorcycle and his grandchildren.
We are honored to have Mike as a part of our caring staff.
Keith Palmer has been a Funeral Assistant for over 30 years. Keith has worked as Produce Manager for Grand Union, and more recently Hannaford. Keith is very active with the Benevolent and Protective order of Elk, St. Albans Lodge 1156. Keith is also the Safety Officer for the St. Albans Town Fire Department. Keith enjoys camping, and spending time with his family.

We are saddened to announce that Keith passed away suddenly on September 7, 2023. We, the staff of Brady & Levesque, wish to thank him for his years of dedicated service to our funeral home and the families entrusted to our care.
G. Thomas (Tom) Brady, began his career in funeral service working with his father at the Driscoll & Moran and Gadue Funeral Homes. There he met and began working with Raymond Levesque starting in 1969. When these funeral home were sold in 1984, Tom and Raymond decided to begin their own in the historic Houghton Home. Since that day, Tom and Ray have served the families that have entrusted their loved ones to their care, with compassion and professionalism.
Raymond is the grandson and nephew of Anthony and Fredrick Terrien respectively. Ray started his career in the funeral service in his teen age years helping his grandfather and uncle. He then worked with Mr. Harold Brown, in the operations of the H.P. Brown Funeral Service of Richmond, Underhill, Hinesburg, and Grand Isle. He served his funeral service apprentiship with the V. L. Perkins Company (now Perking-Parker Funeral Home) in Waterbury. He graduated from The New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science, and Embalming, in 1962. Before entering the U.S. Army operating mortuaries in Germany and France, Ray worked at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls. When he returned from serving his country, he continuned his funeral service career at the Spears Funeral Home of Enosburg and Richford. In September of 1969, he moved to St. Albans, with his new bride Joyce Luman Levesque, and began working for the Driscoll & Moran Funeral Home, and the Gadue Funeral Home in Swanton. While at Driscoll & Moran and Gadue funeral homes, he met and began working with G. Thomas Brady. When these funeral homes were sold in 1984, Raymond and Tom Brady, purchased the Houghton Home in St. Albans, and began the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
Raymond was a member of the National Funeral Director's Association, Vermont Funeral Directors Assocaiation, Franklin County Funeral Directors, St. Albans City Firefighters Association, the Knights of Columbus Council 297, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1566, and the Board Of Directors of the Northwestern Medical Center.
In 1918, Anthony Terrien graduated from the Dodge School of Embalming in Boston, and began funeral service in Richmond and Essex, Vermont. Seeing there was a need, Anthony and Mr. Willy, began the Terrien & Willy Vault Company in 1934. It was the first concrete burial vault company in Vermont. They made, delivered and installed concrete burial vaults, similar to those we use today. Anthony is grandfather to Raymond Levesque and great-grandfather to Jeffrey Levesque.
Frederick Terrien, son of Anthony Terrien, is the second generation funeral director in our family. Frederick graduated from the The New England Institute of Anatomy, Sanitary Science, and Embalming in 1940. He returned to Vermont to continue the tradition of funeral service that his father began.
